The HEG or Hautes Etudes du Goût program offers a unique program of study in gastronomy. It lasts two weeks, one week in Paris, and one week in Reims (Champagne) followed by a written exam, and about six months to write a thesis towards a diploma from the University of Reims, Champagne-Ardenne. The diploma is called, DUGGAT or Diplôme Universitaire du Goût de la Gastronomie, et des Arts de la Table (University Diploma in Taste, Gastronomy and the Arts of the Table).
